Successfully turned around two struggling long term care facilities consisting of 302 skilled nursing beds and 51 Assisted Living Units. Surpassed organizational goals through the development and implementation of effective and efficient operations, marketing and census growth strategies. Organized and coordinated major renovation projects designed to successfully operate Memory Support, Transitional Care and Hospice Units. Achieved excellent survey results from regulatory agencies and Resident Quality of Life Surveys.

Alterra Health Care Corporation, (formerly Alternative Living Services), Orlando, FL

 

Coordinated a successful pre-opening marketing, public relations and networking campaign by developing sales and occupancy forecasts, operating budgets, and policies and procedures to successfully open and manage the daily operation of this 116 unit multi-facility assisted living campus. Formed diversified cooperative ventures with community based health care providers.

Successfully opened and managed the daily operation of this $81M upscale Life Care Retirement Community consisting of 311 independent living units, 42 assisted living units, 23 Alzheimer’s units, and a 60 bed health care center.  Attained industry record setting pace of 75% occupancy in just 120 days. Achieved occupancy rates superior to the required marketing targets generating annual revenues of $10M+.   Designed and developed recruitment and retention strategies and customer service oriented training programs for 150 employees.

Achieved successful opening and provided positive leadership and supervision to all aspects of the operation of this Continuing Care Retirement Community consisting of 154 independent living units, 18 cottages, 23 assisted living units, and 62 licensed nursing beds.  Directed effective marketing techniques that brought facility to 98% occupancy.  Managed a fiscally sound and efficient organization by preparing and administering annual budgets of $8M. Coordinated the opening and operation of this Life Care Retirement Community consisting of 228 independent living apartments, 20 cottages, and 40 skilled nursing beds. Established customer satisfaction as the number one driving force of the organization.
